Spore...

La settimana scorsa e dopo tre anni di ricerche la Electronic Arts ha lanciato il suo nuovo gioco: Spore.
Un viaggio nella creazione del mondo...dalle prime spore uscite fuori da quel gran botto del big bang!

Il creatore di Sim City e The Sims anche questa volta non deludera' le aspettattive degli "young adults" videogames addicted e non.
La campagna pubblicitaria, solo stampa, che e' uscita in quasi tutto il mondo la settimana scorsa e' ,per me, semplicemente geniale.

Combina, semplicita' messaggio ironia e strategia: non a caso la campagna e' uscita qualche girno prima dell' esperimento al Cern di Ginevra! furbi questi pubblicitari!

Di seguito una recensione della campagna che ho scritto per lavoro:

"This funny press campaign is being used to announce the launch of a new EA game, the most awaited Spore was released in the UK on 5 September and the US on 7 September. It could be a coincidence but the game was released just a week before the most important scientific experiment of all times, the Geneva CERN experiment that recreates the Big Bang explosion, creating a lot of buzz around the world. The game lets players create and control creatures from their cellular beginnings through to when they conquer space. Spore is a creation of Will Wright, the mind behind SimCity and The Sims. As per the previous games, Spore aims to give players unprecedented freedom to mould their creations and is available for PC, Nintendo DS and Apple mobile devices such as iPods and iPhones. The brand initially designed the game specifically for the Apple mobile devices and taking full-advantage of their the built-in accelerometer as players tilt, turn and twist their way through a world made of primordial ooze.
EA promises that by leveraging the unique capabilities of iPods and iPhones, players can customize their own creatures and shape their destiny in an exciting evolutionary journey. This exclusive partnership between EA and Apple will make the game even more cool and exclusive in order to engage not only a teenager's audience but also the young adult segment".
